Winter Break and BEing.
Shannon
and I have been on our yearly winter break from December to March. It is
wonderful to take this time to enjoy our families and ourselves. It's gives me
time to slow down and practice BEing. I find myself struggling with this at
times because I do love doing and keeping busy. Shannon is really helpful with
this as she is naturally in a slower motion most of the time. Which is such a
gift to me. When I find myself waiting and getting impatient I see this as the
golden opportunity to practice breathing, BEing and just observing my internal
dialog. J. Krisnamurti, one of my favorite teachers on BEing, spoke of the act
of observation and sitting with self. No need to sit in a certain posture or a
certain time of day the opportunities arise consistently to sit and BE.
Meditation is the act and process of living.
